Sony Ericsson Aspen review

Sony Ericsson seems to have a winner this time with its new model called the Aspen. This is the first official mobile phone to run on the Windows Mobile 6.5.3 OS. In includes capacitive touch screen support and a multi touch platform as well. The touch screen display is definitely more sensitive. The new OS helps in better memory management and loads the pages faster providing a great browsing experience. Sony Ericsson just recently announced the phone and it will be available in the market by the second quarter of 2010.

Apart from running on Windows Mobile 6.5.3 OS, the Sony Ericsson Aspen has another major highlight. It belongs to the family of the GreenHeart phones, which means it is an environment friendly device just like the Sony Ericsson Elm and Hazel GreenHeart phones. The bar shaped mobile board phone packs the power of QWERTY keyboard, which is hugely appreciated by the texters. The Aspen users can get effective remedies for SMS-ing, emailing, push messaging, an instant messaging with the QWERTY. The users can also type quick updates on their favourite social networks like Twitter and FaceBook with this mobile phone.

The look of the phone is quite attractive, and it can definitely inspire anybody to purchase it. It is available in two strikingly attractive colours, which are white silver and iconic black. The handset is designed on the XPERIA panels and its measurement is 117 x 6 x 12.5 mm. The frontal part of the phone is divided into two parts, the first part is the touch screen display and the second part is the QWERTY keyboard. The touch screen is TFT capacitive and its size is 2.4 inches. The screen displays 320 x 240 pixels resolution and 16 million colours. The display also includes accelerometer sensor for auto updates. You will find the logo of Sony Ericsson on the top-front and the back-middle portions of the mobile phone.

Some prominent eco-friendly features of the mobile phone include recyclable materials, power saving charger, electronic manual in place of a printed copy. It is a welcome initiative taken by the company to fight the global threat of environmental hazards.

In addition to that, Sony Ericsson Aspen is inclusive of a 3.2 mega pixel camera, MP3 player, Stereo FM with RDS, video playback, micro SD card slot, and A-GPS support. All in all, it seems like a complete smart phone.
